9:00 - Group time (Theme discussion, phonetics and extension review, pledge, prayer, calendar, show and tell, etc) Longer for "Wednesday Work"
9:40 - Learning Centers (Math, playdoh, sensory table, manipulatives, art, block corner, books and puppets, dress up)
10:40 - Clean up and wash hands
10:50 - Snack
11:10 - Read story, play learning game
11:30 - Muscle Room
February Newsletter
Dear Parents,
Since we have things happening early in February, I wanted to get the dates to you ASAP, so here we are! Please also note that there is another day off later in the month, so watch for that as well.
Thursday, Feb 4th - Pajama Party day! To celebrate the letter Pp, we are having a party. The children (and Miss Kari) may wear their pajamas to school and bring a pillow and/or blanket with them. We will make pancakes and watch Peter Pan while we eat popcorn, etc. You get the idea!
Thursday, Feb 11th - Valentine's Day Party. We often have an ice cream party for this day. Remember all supplies have to come in the room sealed. Let me know if you would like to handle the party, or just do a portion of it (i.e. someone does the treat bags and I'll do food and games). We can keep it pretty relaxed and still have a fun day. Talk to me about what we want to do!
Monday, Feb 15th - NO SCHOOL - President's Day.
Monday, Feb 22nd - Perfect Balance Gymnastics Field Trip 9-11:30 a.m., cost is $7. Siblings will wait with adults in the viewing area. Children should wear comfortable clothes that allow ease of movement. Center is located at 30 Forest Mill Lane, Akron 44319. Phone number is 330-645-6850.
We will be conducting assessments this month with parent conferences soon to follow. A sign up sheet will be available with specific time selections. If there are any questions about this or anything else going on this month, please feel free to speak with me!
